Here’s another thing we see all the time: the moment that you tell your managed IT service provider that you’re switching, they remind you of what they own and what you are going to lose. That data backup unit? That belongs to them, and they’re going to take it, leaving you with no backups. Your anti-virus software? Again, theirs. They’re going to take it when they go, leaving you insecure.
